Cabo Fantasy
After my divorce in January of 2008, I started making plans to move back to SoCal from New Jersey and by June I was on the road. Cabo San Lucas was a $99 round trip from Tia Juana or $199 from San Diego and I had Timeshare trades banked so it was an easy vacation. This picture is from a trip with my Step Sister Joan, just after her mother's stroke (my Stepmom Louise). In 2013 Louise suffered her first stroke and the whole family stepped up to take care of her, ultimately moving her to Assisted Living. Joan had borne the brunt of that burden and I had a week at Sol Mar already booked so I invited her to join my for a break. We had a ball and this picture was taken at a cafe downtown Cabo, I borrowed the strolling minstrel's guitar and played him one of my song's written in Cabo, Cabo Fantasy, he loved it and returned my tip from the songs he played for us......
Cabo Fantasy - Douglas W. Fielder
Am7 – Em7
In this place I am only wandering through.
The sea, the sky and all the different shades of blue.
(F) You emerge out of the ocean
(F#m7) I can sense all the emotion
(Bm) That I feel as I get closer to (Em7) you (F#m7-Bm).
I can see what is happening here
Makes no sense but it’s perfectly clear
You and I were meant for this place
Don’t know why, life has it’s own pace
That I won’t try to figure out, nor should you.
(Em7)It’s so easy to (Bm)see now
This was destined to be now
(Em7)And I hope you’re as (A)ready as (Bm)me…
Yes I hope you’re as ready as me….
(Am7)Tomorrow is not (Em7)today.
What may be, I just can’t say
(F) In this moment we are living
(F#m7) And you know we should be giving
(Bm)Everything we have to give or the moment slips away
(A) We are caught up in this (Bm) magic
To dismiss it would be tragic
(A)Let’s embrace it and be (Bm)glad that we (Em7)have (F#m7) today (Bm)…
(Em7)It’s so easy to (Bm)see now
This was destined to be now
(Em7)And I hope you’re as (A)ready as (Bm)me…Yes I hope you’re as ready as me….
