These Blues Will Go Away – Douglas W. Fielder

XX5333 walk down to XX1333 – D7 addB and drop off

I’m sitting here alone just wishing someone else were sitting here with me
I’d pick up the phone and call some one but I don’t know who that would be

G walkdown to Em – D – C walkdown to Am – D walkdown to A

I look around my place and I see lots of pictures of the people I have loved
But so many of them are no longer here

I’m sitting here alone the TV’s on but there’s no sound and I’m not watching it
I’m staring at the paper sitting there in front of me, just waiting for the words to fit

This loneliness, depression haunts my soul and I don’t know what I will do
There’s no one left for me to send these words to.

[F] But there will come a [C] day
[F] These Blues will go [C] away
[F] I’ll find someone to [C] tell me what I [Bflat] need to hear [A]

She’ll whisper in my ear those words that keep us longing for our next embrace
She’ll dispel all this fear that keeps me sitting here in such a lonely place

She’ll hold me in her arms and lay her face against my chest I’ll feel her heat
She’ll gently lift her chin and pull my lips to hers

And that will be the day
These blues will go away
When she has come to save me from my loneliness
